LOVED this book! I enjoyed everything about it - compelling story line, wonderful characters, and so interesting to learn about wet nurses and the plight of unwed mothers in the late 19th century. I also really enjoyed the framework of Lilli's perspective as a practicing Quaker. Look forward to your next work. It does seem that all my fiction writing considers questions of human's place in the universe and looks at how we make sense of our experiences and connections with others--so yes, I can safely say that these issues will appear in my next novel, too.
