You said that your husband became an archaeologist. What would you say would be your favourite historical/archaeological site?

It's hard to really have a favorite since people have built so many amazing edifices. But of places I've been I think I was most blown away by what I'll call the Angkor complex. People sometimes call this Angkor Wat but that is just one building within a huge area where many different temples and cities were built across the several hundred years during which the Khmer Empire flourished (from the 9th to 15th centuries) in what is now Cambodia (although at its greatest extent the empire controlled territories that are now in other countries). Some people would have seen some of these now ruined temples in the Angelina Jolie Lara Croft film. But regardless, the sculptures are amazing, and the sheer size and scope of the many different buildings is kind of astonishing when you think about how the area (now a tourist and archoaelogical zone) was once the center of a huge bustling empire.
I also really love ancient paths and roadway systems because they remind me that people have always moved around for so many reasons.

I see seven years ago you mentioned the possibility of another Jaran novel. Like the original question asker Alexa, I would love for more. I love the series and have read it multiple times but feel that there's so much more to come. I know it's been a long while since you last released a Jaran novel. Is there any hope of another? Should those of us who are fans give up?
