what gives you the inspiration to write the kind of books you do?

Thanks for the question, Amber. I write romantic suspense books because I love to read romantic suspense novels. Plots in the books I write usually come from news stories that peak my interest. I start thinking about the stories and ask myself questions until I can come up with an interesting plot filled with twists and turns. This all inspires me to create characters who will be conflicted over the main plot and soon their personalities are formed in my mind. I hope this answers your question.

Hi Susan, I have been reading your Cold Harbor series, and I love the characters, setting, struggles, and romance. I do have a question. Are some of the situations your characters experience true life situations? For example a hacker taking over the controls in a vehicle, or hacking a hotel's communication boards. I'm curious if these events have actually happened, or if they come from your creative imagination.

Is Dead Silence only on Kindle? That is all that is mentioned here on Goodreads and also on Amazon.ca I just finished Dead Ringer and if I could have given it more than five stars I would have. I was able to get the print version from the library. I did not realize until I began it that it was also set in Cold Harbor. I have those books on my Kobo but have not read any of them yet.
