One of my partners in my practice wrote a book and asked me to read it before submission. As I read it, I was hounded by the thought: I can do that! In hindsight, my confidence was a byproduct of my youth - there was no reason I thought I should become a writer (no formal training, not time). But thank goodness for that grandiosity of youth.
