It has been a while since I read While Oleander but I do remember wishing there was more when it ended...what was your inspiration for the book? The characters were so believable, I really enjoyed it.

Thank you Lisa. The inspirations for that book were many--where does a river begin? Many tributaries come together to form the great body of a river. I have gathered a lot of material about the writing of that book and my other books on my website, www.janetfitchwrites.com, and I think you'll find there are four or five "origins" of that novel's river.

Janet, as stated before I see many influences in your fantastic works, W.O. & P.I.B.! I am DYING to get a glimpse of the new movie, directed by Amber Tamblyn--Paint it Black. I was thrilled to learn it was an indie film, hoping that would mean it gets translated into the tale filled with depth, and true artistry, that it truly IS. My question is...where is it? I saw it listed at the film fest, but no release yet???
