How do you get inspired to write?

Emily Jane Buehler I don't wait for inspiration, because it rarely comes. I get up in the morning, feed the cats, and then sit at the computer and start, even if I have no idea what I'm going to write. A few hours later I take a break to eat breakfast. Nanowrimo has been so helpful in showing me that I can write every day, even without feeling inspired to.
