Goodreads asked Jennifer Haskin:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Jennifer Haskin Creation. Wild imagination. Self-approval. Admiration. The feeling of accomplishment. Comradery between authors. Going to conferences. Teaching others. Helping friends write, or edit, their own book. There are so many pluses. It's impossible to nail down, because it depends on the person. Maybe fame and money are what you're after? Then you'd better be a really great writer with a huge imagination to create new worlds and characters no one has seen before. Westeros? Hogwarts? Bon Temps? Panem? All genius. The writers of these worlds are brilliant storytellers. Emulate your favorite author. Write fan fiction, if you want to. Just write, and you are a writer.
