Goodreads asked Lana M. Wiggins:

How do you get inspired to write?

Lana M. Wiggins Music is probably my number one source of inspiration in writing various scenes. The right music always sets the tone for the scenes I'm having trouble writing. Whether it's a dark, eerie scene, or a romantic/erotic scene, I let the music guide my mood to create the scene. If music fails to inspire me, I meditate and visualize my characters in the setting. My characters are so familiar to me, I rarely have trouble with this, but sometimes, I have to let the scene stew for days. I never beat myself up over lack of inspiration. The process of ebb and flow is normal. If all else fails, I go back to the beginning, and start the editing process. Staying in the story, one way or another, is crucial.
