Bette Gerstein
Bette Gerstein asked David Samuel Levinson:

Which parts of the mother's anguish came from personal experience and how, as the observing son, did you cope with it? Tell Me How This Ends Well's dedication at the end intrigued, saddened and frightened me.

David Samuel Levinson Hi, Bette,

All of the mother's anguish came from personal experience. Nearly every evil the father, Julian, does to the children and to Roz was taken from my own personal experience with my own father, who is, needless to say, a psychopath. No one ever believed me, so I decided to write a novel about it. Now when people ask and I tell them that this novel was based on my youth, they still don't believe me!

Best,
David
