My question is have you ever thought about making The Giver into a graphic novel as other YA authors had done to their novel? It's another format for you to get a different audience. I really believe that everyone should read the captivated tale that is The Giver even if it's through different format.

I first read THE GIVER in 6th grade. Now my 55-year-old mother and 13-year-old son have read the book and watched the movie. What is it about your books that are so timeless? Do you think my son's generation is open-minded and tolerant enough to understand THE GIVER's lessons better than past generations?
