Previously you said that the killer in "Monkeewrench" changed by time you finished writing. Will you spill the beans on who you originally planned it to be?

Hi GJ, and thanks for the question. SPOILER ALERT for those who haven't read Monkeewrench.
PJ and I originally planned to have Diane be the killer throughout, but at the very end, Mitch seemed like a perfect twist and an unexpected character to have committed the early murders in Atlanta, which helped explain the odd relationship between the two and Mitch's obsession with Grace. This is something that could have never come about had we outlined the book. Part of the magic of writing!

Ms. Lambrecht, I just found out you are also an Ole. I graduated from St. Olaf in 1970 and taught psychology there from 1973 to 2000. Perhaps we overlapped. I participated in the Term in Thailand in 1967/68. We bonded so completely that we still get together. I am now a retired servant to a cat, but am eternally grateful for my experiences on the Hill. I have enjoyed the Monkeewrench series. Kristi & Abby Tabby?
