What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Justin Warren Read, read, read, and when you think you've read enough, read some more. Read as many successful authors as you can and take little bits of their method and incorporate it into your own writing. For me, I love Michael Connelly. The way that he uses the city LA, almost as another character is my favourite aspect of his method. I have tried to incorporate that into my work.

Then you need to get into a grove of writing regularly. Make a time each day to knock out some words. It doesn't have to be thousands, but you should keep at and you should enjoy it. Have fun crafting pictures in peoples minds using just your words.
