Lois Lowry:
I miss Anastasia Krupnik so much! I wanted to be her. I loved her Things I Love/Things I Hate lists. I was jealous she had a poet father. To this day I am forever quoting the "How can you date someone with two last names/two first names?" conversation. Do you think about the books you read as a youngster when you are writing now?

The Giver was the first of many things for me. It was my first chapter book, my first favorite book, and most of all the first time a ever took an adventure in my own head. After all these years and hundreds of books between, I just have to ask. Where is Elsewhere and what about those left behind? Thank you
