Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Dani Fankhauser I like to turn this question around. I've always wanted to write books. In life, I find when making decisions I often ask the question, "Will this make a good book?" It was like that with Shameless. I had a lot of fear around having sex before I was married but concluded that I would write about it. If it turned out to be a terrible idea, I would write that book, and if it was not so bad, I'd write the book that is now Shameless.
