I like to think that I don't pick the ideas, the ideas pick me. Ancient Rome has always held a very special place in my heart, and I can't really explain why. Then I made the jump to 1920s New York City. I can't remember the egg that hatched into this series, but I'd like to think it was a story I am meant to write, and I simply responded to the call that was given to me.

Hi! Retired English teacher here who recently finished Bodies in the Tiber! Excellent! I reported on it to my bookclub this morning and another member just told me she's now "found" you and will be reading the Scrolls from the the beginning. I was fascinated with the guerrilla warfare aspect. Did your research indicate many parallels to modern guerrilla tactics? Marty M
