I love the idea of the Human Library Foundation & the emphasis on recycled paper is stellar. But why are you only translating and publishing men authors? (I can't read the other language, haven't figured out how to translate it into English, so I might have this wrong.) Check out Karen Lord's Redemption in Indigo, and Ursula Le Guin's The Lathe of Heaven, for two relatively short novels, fable/fantasy and science fic.

Thank you, Pam!
Actually, we haven't published any translations since 2014, and the only non-Bulgarian authors in our series so far are Peter S. Beagle and Theodore Sturgeon. We found out that we can't reach enough readers to justify the translation expenses and the royalties. :(
If this ever changes, we'll keep your recommendations in mind. We wanted to publish Stephanie Meyer's The Host, but another publisher beat us to the rights. We've also set our sights on authors like Lois McMaster Bujold, Susan Cooper, Robin Hobb, Becky Chambers, Tove Jansson, Maria Semyonova, Astrid Lindgren, Katherine Paterson, L.M. Montgomery, C.J. Cherryh, Diana Wynne Jones ....
As for our Bulgarian writers, Genoveva Detelinova, Maria Gyuzeleva, Velichka Nastradinova, and Mell (whose book is just about to come out) are all women. As are more than half of the people in the current setup of the Human Library. However, the author whose gender identity I like best is this one. ;) Lights amidst Shadows consist of about two dozens young writers, boys and girls in roughly equal parts.

You friended me here on GoodReads. I was really pleasantly surprised. Thank you. I was intrigued by your Human Library project so I followed the link to the website. I was disappointed to find it was not translated into English. Alas, I do not read Bulgarian. Do you have plans to somehow make it so that non-Bulgarian seekers of the Word can enjoy your site? Is it even possible to embed a translator or something??
