Slowwwly! That's the thing about email lists: they don't grow fast, like social media followings sometimes do, but they have staying power. They are more resistant to algorithms being reworked or services (gasp) shutting down. In the beginning, it's easy to feel like, say,17 email subscribers isn't much, but you have 17 before you have 34, and 34 before you have 68, and on, and on. Slow and steady!

Hey Robin, I loved Penumbra! How did you get the idea for such an awesome bookstore? Does it reflect a bookstore that you might have gone to in your childhood? Also, there are a lot of books nowadays that are including sci-fi features in a not-totally-sci-fi way, like dystopia. How do recommend using something new, like tech, and melding it with something that readers know so that it doesn't come off as overdone?

Would you put your ebooks to some DRM-free store? Currently you sell them in the largest DRM supporters out there - Amazon, B&N, iTunes. I loved Annabel Scheme and would like to get some of your other books, but I won't buy with DRM (plus those stores also refuse to sell ebooks to my country). A good store is e.g. Smashwords - could you sell your ebooks there also?
