Cintia
Cintia asked Abby Cooper:

I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day. When I get motivated, immediatly something appears about the industry that kills it. Any tips on how to deal with this?

Abby Cooper Hey Cintia - I feel your pain. Writing can be a tough business (even for published authors!) Sometimes it's REALLY hard to quit worrying about the marketability/potential rejection of something and just write, but that's literally what you have to force yourself to do. Tune the noise out the best you can, and remember why you want to be a writer in the first place - hopefully, because you love it. Focus on that, and the rest will come. (And yes, lots of books get rejected - but lots of books get published, too!) Good luck!
