Goodreads asked Tom Fowler:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tom Fowler Long-term, I don't think there's such a thing as writer's block. There are specific days when the words don't come easily, however. I think the best way to get around that is to have good processes. Before you write, think about what you're going to write. What's going to happen in the scenes? Does a character die? What significant events happen? You don't need a big fancy outline, but a few sentences to clarify the ideas for yourself will go a long way.
