Hi Pamela,
After I graduated from The American Film Institute I was able to extend my visa and stay in Hollywood to continue working on screenplays and teleplays.
As my extension came to an end I decided it would be best for my writing career to move back home to Vancouver, Canada where I could continue to make writing my top priority.
After returning home I eventually decided to heed my former professor's advice and take a crack at writing a mystery novel, and quickly found that I enjoyed that process more than screenwriting and felt it was a better fit for me.
