Don't get into it thinking you will get rich or write the next bestseller. Become a writer because you LOVE it and can thinking of nothing more you would rather do. Writing a book is NOT easy, it is a lot of work! It seems glamorous but it really isn't, so you must be passionate about your topic. Be open to criticism, take your time with it even if it takes years!
