I have now read all of your books (so far) and am eagerly awaiting the next one? - I have read the opening chapter and yes, it does seem to be of a similar ilk. In the absence of the new book I am now re-reading them all again. I have read Simon Scarrow books and Steven Saylor books and enjoy them all but the way that yours keeps the language is impressive. Actually, your comment on language would be humorous to my friends. I have been submerged in the Republic for so long, that even my coffee shop talk gets some amusing questions as to my lingo. "The coffee is more goodsome this day than on the yestereve," tends to make strangers think I am an import to this country.
Anyway, thanks for the kind comments. Champion of Rome (working title) is almost halfway finished.
