What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Deborah Epperson Perseverance is #1. 97% of writers who start a book NEVER finish it. So, if you've finished your book, sent it to a publisher or agent and have received only rejection letters (so far), you are still in the Top 3% of writers. Find a supportive, knowledgeable critique group, revise, revise, revise, and send it out again. And don't forget that in today's market, you can self publish, but you must learn your craft and learn marketing. Your book is your "baby," but it is also your product.
