Goodreads asked Lori-Suzanne Dell:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lori-Suzanne Dell Writer's block is a mythical gauntlet. The myth relates to the problem of a writer, who was proceeding along quite well, becoming suddenly unable to continue. This problem is signal to the writer that he or she has written something that their imagination cannot logically continue from. In other words, you have just written a passage, sentence, whatever, that has no logical followup. Try removing the last sentence, or paragraph, and rewrite it completely differently. Let the character say something else, or do something else, or let the scene be totally different. Remove the impediment that stopped your creativity and let the follow continue.
