Lauren Graeff
Lauren Graeff asked Katherine Reay:

I saw Dear Mr. Knightly on the sale shelf at a bookstore and picked it up because of my love of Emma (and because it was on sale - you can't beat that!). I'm in the middle of it and it's now definitely one of my new favorite books. I haven't even finished it yet! The covers are absolutely beautiful. Do you design them yourself?

Katherine Reay Hey, Lauren....

I'm so glad you're enjoying DMK. A Portrait of Emily Price has a good dose of Emma in it too --- I will admit of Austen men, Mr. Knightley's devotion and willingness to let Emma go, if needed, because he loved her so much -- appeals to me.

Back to the covers -- I don't design them. I get a lot of say, but the original idea often doesn't come from me. The petals turning to letters on DMK's cover and morphing to white like envelopes was my daughter's idea. I love that she had an active part in that cover.

Let me know what you think, in the end, of DMK or if you check out any other of my stories... Thanks for reaching out and Happy Reading!
