I really liked When They Came. I was wondering how you came up with the characters for that book because they felt very personal. I also was wondering if you had plans for a sequel?

As to how I came up with the characters: they came rather organically. None of them were "close" to me in terms of their creation, so I can't say they were "personal." Ana Mia, Asha and Jason were all born out of the need to tell their story, especially in a world where danger lurked around every corner.
The trilogy is now complete.
