Racine
Racine asked Rhys Hagan:

Why must you disrespect Christianity as a whole Mr. Hagan in your book Sovereignty: He Lied for Your Sins? I know you have the write to have freedom of speech and the right to write as freely as you please but why Christianity? Why not anything else? Why must you make a mockery of Christianity and Jesus Christ and all that he stands for? Reading is fundamental Mr. Hagan. Read the Bible.

Rhys Hagan Hi Racine,

My novel, Sovereignty: He Lied For Your Sins, focuses on Christianity because I grew up in Christian churches, therefore, it's something I am quite familiar with. During my time as part of the religion, I witnessed, and was subjected to, various forms of abuse. I believe it's important to consider the idea that Christianity may have origins which have been omitted from the history books.

Government and corporate intervention in private lives, history being written by the victors, and the ways in which we are indoctrinated are also key themes in Sovereignty. I invite Christians to consider my novel as a challenge rather than an attack. After all, if it is the truth it can withstand any challenge.

Thanks, Racine.

Sincerely, Rhys.
