Being a veteran of Nanowrimo (if you don't know what this is, look it up), I simply sit at a keyboard or use pen and paper and start writing. It doesn't matter whether what you write is good, bad or spectacularly awful. It's like panning for gold. A great deal of what you'll find will be dross. But once you start digging through it, you're sure to come up with a few nuggets of true gold.
