Great question, but one that has stumped me for years! I read a lot as a child, but the true first memory I recall is around 6 or 7 at the public library. I participated in a summer reading challenge competition to devour as many books as possible before school started. There was a series of colorful books I enjoyed, but I have not ever been able to locate it again. I keep trying... it had all the things I love: mystery, family drama, recurring characters, and pictures.

Hi James, how is the your geneology study progressing. I also have some interest in tracing my ancestors and have discovered my ancestors back to 1742 to my fifth generation great-grandparents. In addition I have had my gene profile checked and it appears that I am 60% English, Welsh and Northern European. 31% Scottish. 5% Norwegian ( those vikings get everywhere) 2% German and 2% Portugese. How about you?
