Hello Elly!!! Huge fan of your series!! I cannot wait until you publish the last book; Nightblood. I have a personal question for you. What is your absolute favourited novel series? And who is your favourite author or writer?
Elly Blake
Aw, thank you so much! That means a lot! <3
That question is so hard to answer because my favourite changes to whatever I'm currently in love with/addicted to. As a teen, I loved the Jane Austen novels, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and anything by Robin McKinley (especially The Hero & the Crown). I also loved Barbara Michaels/Elizabeth Peters (gothic/mystery). Lately I've been reading more historical romance than YA because I find it hard to read the same genre I'm writing. When I'm finished writing this series, I plan to take a little break and catch up on YA fantasy! I have so many on my TBR, it's ridiculous. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. :)

Hi Elly! I’m really excited about Nightblood :) My question for you is, since it was discovered that Ruby can control lava therefore implying that she is the heir to the Foreblood throne do you think she’ll want to become queen? The obvious answer would be no, but her aunt does seem insistent, will this cause a problem between Ruby and Arcus? I mean the queen hates Arcus so she won’t like the idea of them together.

Hello! I haven't had the chance to read your first novel, Frostblood, but it's sitting on my bookshelf as we speak! It looks so amazing! I was wondering what the process is for you to be published. How long does it usually take you to write a manuscript and how long to edit and revise? Also, how long was it till you found someone willing to publish your work?
