I don't wait for inspiration. I keep a schedule and no that when I sit down to work, that I need to do it until I am done my word count for the day. Sometimes it doesn't always go perfectly. Sometimes I have a story problem I can't solve that day and I try and get as much down as I can before taking a walk to come up with a solution.
