Lois Lowry:
Your books are childhood favorites of mine! But I've always found it slightly confusing that The Giver seems to be pure dystyopia while the other three incorporate elements of fantasy. When did you decide to turn the series into fantasy? Or would you consider The Giver fantasy, as well?

Mrs. Lowry, If the community prides itself on perfection and refuses to speak of the past, why does it insist on keeping any memories of the past at all, although only with one person?
