I Loved "Borrowed Time" and read the Sue Grafton Award winners every year. Cass Raines is such a refreshing character. Why do think that this genre has so few women of color in lead roles? It seems like many women in the tougher cities (I am from Baltimore, similar to Chicago in many ways) seem to gravitate toward law enforcement now. Thank you for the great read!
