There were several different inspirations leading up to the creation of Driftwood.
The main inspiration was a bar of soap believe it or not. There's a small store in my town the sells homemade soaps and one soap is called 'Driftwood'. It was (and still is) a very earthy smell. It smells of wood and trees. Something about it was very arousing. I bought it for my husband and when he bathes in it, I can smell it on his skin and it's very comforting.

Will the driftwood series ever have an audible option? I loved this series. The transition between male and female points of view is so smooth, and it's nice to see a couple were one or both of them doesn't sound unrealistically perfect. I like to re-read books and having an audible companion of this series would make perfect background noise while i'm driving or at work
