Wendy
Wendy asked Amor Towles:

I have just reread A Gentleman in Moscow - the kindle edition - and enjoyed it. On the second reading I noticed the footnotes or comments, which I missed completely on the first reading. I am now trying to track these down because I think they will change the tone of the book. Could these notes be made easier to access and more obvious?

Amor Towles Dear Wendy,
First of all, thanks for reading A GENTLEMAN twice! In the printed text, the footnotes appear at the bottom of the page. Since there is no "bottom" of the page in Kindle, the footnotes appeared at the very end (you would have to click on the asterisk to take you there). As readers were missing them, I had kindle integrate the footnotes directly into the text in brackets.
Best,
AT
