Just finished Lilac Girls...loved every minute of it. I am a big fan of Holocaust Literature and history and was set on this path by my college professor, Vera Laska and her book, Women in Resistance and the Holocaust. You have no idea how thrilled I was to see it mentioned in your notes. I still own a copy and peruse the stories. Dr. Laska was an amazing, yet terrifying, narrator of the Holocaust.? (not really a ??)

I just finished the book and was excited to learn that some of the characters were real. It was so interesting to see the perspective of the doctor and the fact that Kasia and her sister remained alive in the camp for 4 years. Looking forward to reading the prequel! No question from me but thanks for all your efforts!?
