My mum's from British Columbia and I've spent quite a bit of time in the NW, hence it's prominence in the novel.

After Bandwidth, I'd recommend reading Borderless->Breach->Cumulus->Neon Fever Dream->The Uncommon Series.

Based on your attention to detail and realistic approaches it seems like it would be a lot. An offshoot to that question is how much time do you spend researching stuff for the book vs the more creative writing part?

One aspect I really loved was the idea of the "feed-less bar" where they go to meet and hang out without the constant interruption of the electronic/network interruptions and surveillance. Curious where that idea came from. Also, what do you see gives you hope about the state of technology and its place in the world?
