I'm a young author. When you were looking for an agent and sending them your manuscript did you hire a professional editor to work on your book before sending it off to agents? I'm in college so I can't afford the prices most people are charging to do edits on my book. So, I was just wondering what you did with your first book:)

Alexandra Monir Hi Cecilia! So sorry for the incredibly late reply, I somehow missed that I had all these unanswered Goodreads questions- whoops!! I'm not sure if in the time since you wrote you already hired a freelance editor, but if you didn't, no need! The best thing you can do is find a supportive group of fellow writers who can read your work and offer helpful feedback, or a critique partner. If you don't know other writers personally, you can find critique partners through writing communities online. Good luck with your manuscript!!
