Goodreads asked Larry Vingelman:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Larry Vingelman My advice to any writer is to write, then write some more, then when you are totally exhausted, write a little more. I remember Ray Bradbury writing, “Just write every day of your life. Read intensely, then see what happens. Most of my friends who are put on this diet have very pleasant careers.” No one is born a writer. It is an acquired skill. It takes practice, lots and lots of practice. After a while you will begin to get a feel for what works for you. This is when the real work begins. I like the way Isaac Asimov put it, “If my doctor told me I had six minutes to live, I wouldn’t brood I’d type a little faster.”
