Riva asked Kaje Harper:

Any plans to release audiobooks?

Kaje Harper MLR Press has actually started looking onto creating audiobooks for their publications. I have not heard anything more in the way of details, just that they were actively checking into it, but I'm hoping they find a great narrator and do it.

So far, Samhain has not indicated an interest in audiobooks. But most publishers have contact information on their website for reader feedback. If you want to see their books in audio, it never hurts to say so.

As far as my self pubs, almost all of them are freebies, which makes it hard to justify creating an audio format. I'd have to charge for it (and pay a fair bit up front myself to the narrator and formatter, to create it, which I'd then need to be able to make back.) I won't say never, but I'd have to be convinced there were enough people willing to pay for them in audio format to even begin to consider doing so. Again, I'm not ruling it out, but the economics of it are different from ebooks.
