Goodreads asked Eric Huffbind:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Eric Huffbind Quite honestly, writer's block is a difficult issue still. Where it becomes an issue is how to move the plot forward. Since most authors, at the very least, know the beginning and ending for their novel, it's the propelling of the plot forward and what obstacles are going to be tossed in the pathway of your main protagonists. Additionally, as a writer of Romance, it's not just the conflicts presented, it's also how you are going to bring your two protagonists together and how you will plot out the blossoming of the love story itself.

As a write one chapter to the next chapter, I am often looking for the story to take on a life of its own. Something I have already written may inspire how I will move my plot forward.

Other times, I have read reference books of Writing Prompts to spark my inspiration.
