Amor Towles:
I have been reading with great enjoyment all weekend. Even though I'm not finished, I can truly say, this is a thoroughly enjoyable book. One question comes to mind. I noted that the adolescent in the kitchen was named Ilya & the name of Audrey's son who was killed in the Battle of Berlin, was given the same first name. When there are so many first names to choose from, what made you decide on using the same name?

I read Rules of Civility when it first came out and it is one of my favorite novels. Now, years later, I am listening to it on Libby, and am reminded what an incredible world you have created, what complex characters. There is not one misstep in this book and I thank-you for it! I am curious where the initial idea for Katey came from, and how you developed her as you wrote the book? Jill

Not a question really, just wanted to say I got your A gentleman in Moscow book from the library and now I have to go and buy it because I loved it so much!!! It was BRILLIANT! will there be anymore adventures in Russia with hotels? That is my question. Thank you so much for an epic book!
