I had planned to end the Refuge series after Dark Fire but the Medic demanded her story be told and then Oghul, her hero, showed up, drinking himself into darkness in the beverage outlet.
Dark Cure will be a bridge story between the Refuge series and the upcoming Barbarian Warlord series. I'll be writing four stories in that series. It will feature the Chamele Warlords, starting with Khan, the Warlord Hulagu admires so much.
Will we return to the Refuge? We likely will. The universe is all connected.
Oh and our FREE December story this year will feature Vicuska's 'heroic' mission. She'll be joined by Arsenal, one of the cyborgs.
