Goodreads asked Kimberly Davis Basso:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Kimberly Davis Basso I am working on no less than four projects right now. So, I am completely focused on the task at hand, until I get a little stuck. There's always my "main" project - but there are smaller projects that come in and out. It's not always four, and it's not always more than one, but most of the time, I've got other options. So if something is not ready to be written, there's another avenue to explore, and I keep writing. I also have wildly diverse interest in my reading material, and I go through a lot of books, magazines, articles, and so forth in a week. If I'm really really stuck, like the way a baby will smear a booger across their cheek and it becomes a permanent part of their facial structure - I go live my life. I've found having a life is key (what a genius!) - if you aren't having a life, what on earth have you got to say?
