Goodreads asked Carl Deuker:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Carl Deuker Don't push yourself to write for hours at a sitting. Instead, write every single day for 30 minutes. And if you're too tired to write, then edit something you've written. The key thing is to stay connected to whatever you're working on. One or two days off can easily become two weeks or two months away. I know from experience.
