Will there be audio books? Again, thank you for such great characters we can fall in love with, hate and cry over their life choices...
Michael J. Sullivan
Without question, any book I release in the future will have an audiobook. There are several reasons for this.
1. Audiobooks are the fastest growing segment of the publishing world (and have been for some time). it would be foolish to ignore this portion of the market.
2. I receive my highest advances from audiobook contracts. My advances for audiobooks have reached the 7-figure level which is more than 250% of my highest print/ebook contract.
In essence, it is the audiobooks right that I'm the most protective of and the one I secure first and foremost. This is making my "other" rights harder to deal with as the big-five publishers are now REQUIRING audio rights on all new deals. By signing over audio I stand to lose 50% of my audio income to the print/ebook publisher, and they are not raising their advances to offset the value of audio on the open market.
So, yes, there will definitely be audiobooks!

Michael J. Sullivan:
I read Legends, Rise and Fall, then Revelations. I noticed that in the Empire books the elves all have blue eyes (Nolyn and Sephryn having the first? green eyes), but the elves introduced in Heir of Novron have green eyes. Is this just an error in continuity or does it signify the elves in Revelations are not "pure" somehow? Also, thank you so much. I was delighted I discovered your books from my library app!

Hi Michael, My questions are: 1) if you could go back in time to when you were writing Revelations, is there anything that you change? 2) are there any “delete scenes” between Royce and Hadrian that you write into one of your books but then had to cut? 3) is there a character that you most relate to? 4) if you could describe The Cycle in three words what would they be? Thank you - your books are amazing!!
