Goodreads asked Cheryl Suchors:

How do you get inspired to write?

Cheryl Suchors If the juices aren't flowing, I'll read a good book about writing. Like Margot Livesey's "Hidden Machinery," Janet Burroway's "Writing Fiction," or Virginia Woolf's "Women and Writing." Other times, I'll find a favorite novel and become inspired by the wonderful writing in front of me. Working with a writer's group can also do the trick. Seeing other writers grow in skill is vastly encouraging.
