Do you have a soundtrack (in your mind) that goes with your stories?
U.L. Harper
I do not have a soundtrack in mind. As a matter of fact, I listen to very little music when writing. If I do throw on some tunes, it'll be old jazz like Coltrane or Miles Davis, something very slow and dragging. The rhythm of the music, for me, can be distracting. And to be honest, I'm a very distracted person. A lot of times when I'm writing, I'm in a coffee shop, because I like the noise. But when at home, I need subtlety.

What feelings do you have towards Arthur Lowe? I ask because I find him oddly masked. I don't particularly like or dislike him. Doesn't matter what he did. My feelings toward him are pretty neutral. I had no clear picture of what he looked like, just an impression. Didn't really se his face. But at the very end, I pictured him looking just like you. Just at that point, not for the rest of the book.
