Thx so much for those insights. I’m adding them to my presentation. I was delighted this afternoon at my book club meeting when our hostess for next month selected The Address as our book for October. I can’t wait to talk about it. Since I’ve already read it, i’m Going to read The Dollhouse. I’m interested to know how didyou settle on the dual timeline for all 3 books?
Fiona Davis
Hi Cindy - I love to read dual timeline books, and wanted to see if I could pull it off. I also love mysteries, and the way the dual timelines keep the plot moving forward -- as you're trying to figure out what happened in the past -- appealed to me. Finally, I love the way they show how women's views and voices have changed through the ages. Enjoy The Dollhouse and thanks again!

Hello Fiona, Just read The Address and loved it. How do you make key decisions on the fates of characters? For example - Sara's life (not literally) is sacrificed for Mrs. Camden's. In this example, readers are rooting for Sara, but yet another twist arrives. I guess two questions, the one I asked first and then, how did this particular plot line come about? Thank you kindly.

I just finished The Spectacular. Loved it and have read all your books- I think the mixture of truth, history, drama, dual time lines, and making the centerpiece your books a beautiful and famous piece of architecture is what draws me, along with the writing. When is your next book coming out and do you have any spoilers as to what it is you are working on?

Fiona I have found that you, along with other authors, mark all your books as being amazing. I realize as an author that writing is like giving birth to a baby and a huge amount of time and effort goes into writing a book. I'm wondering how you are able to choose so many five star books? I totally understand if you do not answer this question and I certainly do not wish to put you into a compromising position.
