Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Michelle Wuesthoff Although I've always loved God, for some reason, I could never feel or grasp his love for me. One day, during a particularly challenging time raising our newly adopted, teenage daughter, the Lord spoke to me and told me I was just like her. I felt a bit miffed at that observation, but he began to unveil how my thought and behavior patterns were very much like hers—like that of an orphan. And then he began to teach me, through my parenting, how to identify those orphan mindsets, dismantle them, and posture my heart to be able to receive his love and my adoption.
